It’s been a while since I shared a beauty post so I thought it would be fun to talk about a few items that are on my radar. I haven’t tried any of these yet, but I’m intrigued. Let me know if you have tried them!
New Wash by Hairstory
Created by the founder of Bumble & Bumble, this hair cleanser does not use detergent! The claim is that detergent further damages the hair, which is why we then have to mask the damage with conditioner. They also say it works on EVERY hair type. The idea is simplified hair care. I could stand to simplify a few things in my life. When I finally run out of my current hair care, I’m going to give this a try.
Eliminating frizz is the name of the game. Texture Tame says it “Fixes rough or frizzy hair texture without affecting your hair’s natural body, wave or curl pattern.” It does mention that if you hair is colored/damaged, you will need to proceed in slightly different steps.

The Ordinary Skincare
I came across this brand as I was specifically searching for Vitamin C treatment for my hyperpigmentation. Apparently, Vitamin C is very unstable and not all products are created equal. This brand offers up a high percentage Vitamin C at a price of….wait for it…$5.80. It’s supposedly a bit gritty and greasy, but the others I was looking at are easily $50 and up. For a $45 savings, I can handle being a greased up chicken. Besides, my skin has been dry lately anyway! Look forward to trying this one out.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel
Again, I have heard so much about this bronzer. It’s a cream which sounds a little scary but it is supposed to apply like a dream! There are no color options, but it works for a variety of skin tones, I’ve read.
At $13.00, why not give this a try? I constantly see Tina Craig of the BagSnob using her jade roller on Instagram Stories. Have you seen her skin? Take it from me, her skin is like marbled perfection! In a good way 🙂 Seriously, if she says it’s an essential skincare item, who am I to doubt?
I like to say that both my babies stole my eyelashes. Now, not that mine were that enviable to start, but both kids have such beautiful lashes while mine mostly fell out during both pregnancies. I can’t use a lot of items since baby boy is nursing, so I have been researching other options and came across this, which has great Sephora reviews. *Note: I’m not saying this is safe to use while pregnant or nursing. Have a doctor weigh in before using this product!* They also have a lash transformation kit – I love the idea of using a gentle eye makeup remover and lash primer to get max benefits. The brow formula might be worth a look as well!
