With 4th of July right around the corner, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite looks for the holiday.
Red and blue have never really been my colors. But recently I’ve been drawn to more and more of the light blue tops and dresses that I see. I’m still working on liking red – though I wouldn’t mind it on a cute little sports car!
For the 4th of July, I really like the idea of adding a patriotic bandana to a simple top to make it more festive, while still being able to wear the top as part of my regular wardrobe. I’ve certainly had my share of moments buying a super-festive top, only to realize that the other 364 days of the year it just sat in my closet. My mom is the queen of themed outfits – every holiday she’s decked out in earrings, a necklace and coordinated clothes. So I come by in honestly!
I tried on several cute tops this weekend, but due to the fact that I am currently on a fitness kick, I held out hoping to go on a little spree once I hit my goal. I’ve found that trying on clothes is also a great motivator for me. Here are a few cute tops and dresses perfect for going to the parade or maybe
sweating your ass off relaxing at a barbecue! This Vince Camuto dress is only $30 and totally on trend for the summer. I’m in love with the Free People striped top and the Indah top and maxi dress— a little higher on the price end, but I can definitely see myself getting more wear out of those items.
Put on your patriotic undies and finish the look with overalls or white cut offs and you’re ready to go! I mean, what says ‘Merica better than a pair of star-spangled Hanky Pankies? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing.
I’m pretty sure this bandana and these sunnies will be showing up on my porch soon! I also have some makeup goodies coming from Maskcara Beauty (my new makeup obsession) that I can’t wait to share with you soon!
Be sure to tag me in your 4th of July looks! Have a wonderful holiday and God bless America!
